Meeting the Sultan of Brunei - by Dev and Sreypich

Today we went to meet the Sultan of Brunei.
We drove to the basin reserve and walked up the hill to the Government House.
We sat on the grass in a line with another group, we all got a flag. Then the marching band came along with the army.
The Wellington Boys College did the haka performance.
There was also a Maori group welcoming the Sultan of Brunei.
The army did the 21 gun salute -  the first bang gave everyone a big surprise.
Then the Sultan of Brunei came to say hello. We all said your highness and nice to meet you.
Then we had a play on the field. We saw the big trees that Elizabeth 2nd planted in 1954.
When we drove back to school we saw the Sultan's big jet-aeroplane at the airport.

We all had a very fun time at Government House and hope we can go again.
