Making the class movie

Day 1- 31st July

Yesterday, Ms D announced to us that we were making a class movie!
We sort of already knew, we were planning what we would do in the movie the term before. We decided we would have some bad guys holding a main character hostage, an american baby dragon who was lost and trying to find its mother, wandering zombies trying to find some brains, random hippies starting a pillow fight and last of all, the one and only... JUSTIN BIEBER!!! (It's not actually him) So our movie is pretty silly and random...
Also yesterday, we had auditions for all the parts, the people who was auditioning were really nervous. They had to say one of their lines in front of Ms D and the two directors, Ash and Jasmine A, so they could see if they were good enough for the part they were auditioning for. Congrats to all the people who passed! Today the people who got the parts, brought their clothes that suited their part in the movie. We had our first shoot today but we had to set up first. We got the tripod and camera but we needed much more than that!!!
Our setting was a lounge so we had to grab some chairs from the library and bring it here (our classroom, Rm 7) to form a couch. Ms D went and got a picture from the office so we could have a picture on the wall. Our 'lounge' is looking like an actual lounge!!!
We started filming today as well. Our main characters have to wear their PJs, they're in bare feet too!!! So far we haven't exactly gone very far but we're just going to go with the flow and see how far we get!

Day 2- 1st August

Today, we filmed so many fun and exciting bits!!! The hippies who started the pillow fight just got in front of the camera for the first time and they did an amazing performance!!! Ms D had bought millions of feathers, it was like a feather wonderland!!! It was so much fun watching them, they were crazy and loud, who would not notice them?
We also shot the bit where the Big Bad Burglars get arrested and their plan goes all wrong! We're planning to shoot the zombie scenes next Monday, our movie is whizzing past so fast!!! (Hey,that rhymes, I didn't make it rhyme purposely)
Up to the VERY exciting bit. WE DID THE JUSTIN BIEBER SCENES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fans were perfect and acted just like a Justin Bieber fan would do. Scream and hold up signs that would probably say 'I luv you, Justin!!!' or 'Call Me!!! 3883862' or something like that. Go Justin!!! ( I got his autograph, the others must be SO jealous!!!) We hope we will finish it on time, I think we definitely will at this rate.

Day 3- 5th August

We are all excited! Today was going to be the last day of filming! Everyone was straight on to their tasks, even the people who weren't in the movie. Ms D applied the zombies make up, we hope our movie doesn't scare all the little kids when we show them! The zombies were pale, bloody and dressed in black. Ms D is an awesome make up artist! We also filmed the finale when the bored main character come into the room and complains about how boring life can be and doesn't realize that the entire time she had been sleeping, wacky, random things had been going on...
We're planning to edit tomorrow and are waiting for the editors to inform us that they are ready.
We would all like to thank our directors for dealing with problems that came our way and Ms D for organizing this class movie which might turn out as the biggest and best any class can have!
It sort of is the best as far as we know!

Clay Birds - by Holly and Ibanez

Tonight at 4:00 pm, our school is hosting an Art Exhibition. It will feature all the art that the students have made at the start and the middle of the year. Room 7 have been making clay birds for the past month. After we made them we painted them. There are ducks, sparrows, a godwit, swans, some fantails, a pigeon and some winter cardinals. We are looking forward to seeing your art at the Art Exhibition.

French Knitting - "mais oui oui, tres bon -"

Yesterday we started learning how to do French Knitting. Ms D showed us, a few at a time, it looked easy but it wasn't. Ms D helped everyone get started. Some people had to start and re-start. Ms D said we needed to think of the saying 'if at first you do not succeed, try, try again'.
Regan and Sreypich could see the knitting coming out the end when we had to pack up for home. Ms D wanted us to find out who was the person who said the try, try again quote.
Today Lauren told us the person was Thomas H Palmer, an American who said it in 1840. This is what we did. We kept trying and by morning tea we were addicted to French knitting and wanted to do it all day. These are pictures of us knitting, and our wrist bands.
