Yum, yum - Ika mata. by Dev and Tui

Yum yum, today we made Ika mata, which is Cook Island Maori for raw fish.
First we washed the fish and cut the delicious fresh fish in to tiny bits and put them in a glass bowl.
Then we cut up some lemons and lime and squeezed the juice out of them and tipped it into the raw fish. We left the fish to marinate for about an hour.
After that we cut up a few spring onions and chucked them in the bowl with the raw fish.
Next we opened a can of coconut cream and poured some of the cream in to the fish. Remember a bit of salt!
We stirred it up, most people in the class thought it was delicious!
